How Drink Atlas classifies drinks
There are countless names, but the main taste lines are simple. We group beer, makgeolli, traditional spirits, whiskey, wine, and coffee in three steps: family → group → style.
- Family The largest lineage
- Group A cluster of close characters
- Style Where a product sits
Ex. Pilsner Urquell → Lager → Pale lager → Czech pilsner
Drinks on the same branch share ingredients and process. If one pour clicked, another on that branch often will too.
